The Facilities Custodian handles and performs a variety of non-technical, non-licensed mechanical, electrical, maintenance, painting, custodial, plumbing, general repair, and other handy-person tasks at facility or complex tasks under direct supervision of a more experienced trade's person.
* Facility maintenance as directed by a supervisor to include but not limited to:
o Clean designated building areas: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, carpet cleaning / care
o Carry out special projects that may involve but not limited to:
Cleaning appliance and fixtures (heavy cleaning tasks)
o Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
o Stock and maintain supply rooms for designated building areas
o Scheduled maintenance programs
o Fixture relocation and assembly
o Trash removal
* Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs:
o Bulb/lamp and ballast replacements
o Filter replacements
o Ceiling and floor tile repair
o Door repairs
* Help to ensure all building and maintenance policies, procedures, SOP's, codes, regulations, etc. are followed and enforced including safety systems and standards.
o This includes all applicable Health and Safety Regulations
