The palletizer removes tile from automatic off bearer, boxes and palletizes for shipment.
Major Functions and Scope:
Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function or responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.
- Picks up tile off of bearer or selector and places onto conveyor and/or pallet.
- Dislodges jams by hand.
- Removes tile from discharge end of boxing machine and stacks materials or products on pallets.
- Marks boxes with appropriate grade of product and other information.
- Inspects tile for damage or for conformity to specifications.
- Moves materials or products to or from converyor.
- Stencils, tags, stamps or writes identifying information on packaged products.
- Records production.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly.

While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
