In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose or primary objective of this position.
Produces and distributes glaze and paste as needed in the production process as well as maintains Glaze Prep areas.
Major Functions and Scope:
Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function or responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.
- Ensures safe, healthy, and organized working environment for all areas.
- Ensures all safety protocols, which are certified to OHSAS 18001, throughout the plant are adhered to.
- Follows the Quality Management System, which is certified to ISO 9001:2015 for operations, including SOP, SPI and Test Methods.
- Produces glaze and paste by transporting, weighing, and mixing appropriate ingredients.
- Loads and unloads ball mills.
- Produces dry glaze ingredients via the Batching Process.
- Monitors glaze and paste levels on production lines.
- Creates samples and performs quality control checks.
- Monitors equipment and/or processes and ensures timely reporting of any unusual problems to supervisor.
- Follows company operating procedures and guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision:

High school diploma or equivalent experience. Basic computer skills
Experience: Describe the work experience(s) that are required.
0 -1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.
Competencies: Describe the specific skills required for this position in terms of technical, managerial, interpersonal skills and unique abilities.
Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English. Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
