Position Overview

Based upon the experience level of the candidate selected, this position may be filled as a Team Manager/Supervisor or a Team Manager Trainee/Supervisor.  Positions are available for Cartersville, GA Manufacturing Facilities, Plants 12, 13 and 15.

Team Manager/Supervisor
Position Responsibilities:  This position will manage either a 2nd or 3rd shift Team as they strive to produce quality carpet tile in an accident free environment.  This will be accomplished through a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and team development.  Partnership with Plant Management, Human Resources, and all Team Members will be vital.  Team Manager will act as a facilitator to aid associates in examining and improving the ways in which they work together to achieve better results.  This will be accomplished through managing group and one-to-one discussions, applying coaching and corrective action when necessary, and communicating the goals and direction of the team.  This position should also develop and maintain a firm working knowledge of the carpet manufacturing processes and the equipment and procedures it contains.

Team Manager Trainee/Supervisor Trainee
Position Overview:
 A Team Manager (Supervisor) Trainee will participate in a 26 week on-the-job training program designed to educate, develop and equip the Trainee to assume the role of a Supervisor.  Generally, the Team Manager will lead two plus teams ranging from 10 to 20 associates.  The Trainee must be flexible to work on all shifts, primarily on 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities:  A Team Manager is responsible for coaching and developing the teams for successful performance in the areas of safety, quality production, waste reduction and innovation.  The ideal candidate is skilled at building trusting relationships and making good decisions.  By the end of the training program, the Trainee should be able to successfully recognize and resolve conflict, obtain the desired business results and facilitate change as needed with the organization.

Requirements:   4 year degree or High School Diploma/GED and Leadership experience.  Leadership experience must be within the most recent 5 years.
